Delegations of the Uzbek and Azerbaijani Foreign Ministries discussed urgent issues covering Uzbek-Azerbaijani relations in various areas of cooperation during the next round of political consultations in Baku on September 24-25, the Uzbek Foreign Ministry said today.
According to the ministry, the parties attached a priority to the implementation of agreements reached in October 2012 during Uzbek President Islam Karimov's official visit to Azerbaijan.
The countries signed a number of cooperation documents following the Uzbek president's visit to Baku. The Joint Declaration and Programme of Cooperation for 2013-2015 were signed between both foreign ministries.
Currently, the countries have established a solid legal base consisting of 115 bilateral documents, covering political, trade-economic, investment and cultural and humanitarian spheres of cooperation.
