Washington is waiting for the visit of Georgian leaders, the U.S. Assistant Secretary of State for European and Eurasian affairs, Victoria Nuland, said at a press conference on Dec. 6.

"We are waiting for Georgia's new leaders to visit the United States," she said.

Nuland added that the details and specific time of the visit were discussed with Garibashvili.

Victoria Nuland is satisfied with the results of her visit to Georgia.

"I am glad that I once again visited the democratic Georgia. There are two reasons why I am with you. The first - you held democratic elections and peaceful change of power occurred. The second reason - the initialling of the Association Agreement. We will continue to support you. Today I had excellent meeting with the president, the prime minister and ministers. I also met with the minority leader and chairman of the parliament, which testifies to the growing unity. I also had lunch with persons of high ranks. I urge all parties to work together. There are calls. This applies to minority rights, the creation of judicial system and development of the economy," Nuland said.
