Georgian Prime Minister Irakli Garibashvili met with Director of the IMF's Middle East and Central Asia Department Masood Ahmed, head of the IMF mission Mark Griffiths and the fund representative in Georgia Azim Sadikov on March 7.
The parties discussed the economic situation in Georgia and macroeconomic indices, the Georgian Prime Minister's press-office told Trend.
Garibashvili thanked the IMF for technical and financial assistance and stressed that at this stage it is of particular importance.
The main directions of "Georgia 2020" economic development strategy and an investment sphere in the country were also discussed at the meeting.
Garibashvili stressed that while holding the economic policy, the Georgian government will work closely with donor organizations and the International Monetary Fund.
