The initiative to deploy air defense systems in Georgia is still relevant, and it will be discussed at bilateral meetings to be held during the NATO Wales Summit, Georgia's Deputy Foreign Minister David Zalkaliani told Georgian Public Broadcaster (GPB).
The initiative was announced by Georgian Defence Minister Irakli Alasania in the United States.
"All the issues that have been announced by the Defence Ministry are relevant again, and we will discuss them in a bilateral format, not only with the U.S., but also with other NATO partner countries. I hope this issue will be adequately presented in the NATO enhanced cooperation package," Zalkaliani stressed.
