Turkish Foreign Minister Mevlut Cavusoglu and his Russian counterpart Sergey Lavrov in a phone conversation discussed the negotiations on Syria, underway in the Kazakh capital of Astana, Turkey’s Foreign Ministry said in a message.
The Syria talks in Astana kicked off Jan. 23. Delegations of the Syrian government and opposition, Russia, Turkey, and Iran, as well as the UN Special Envoy for Syria Staffan de Mistura, participated in the talks.
