The US dollar and the euro continued to strengthen their growth in the Moscow Exchange on afternoon Jan. 13, as the US dollar rose above 66 rubles moving from Dec. 17 highs amid falling oil prices, Interfax agency reported.

The US dollar rose to 66.1 rubles at 15:51 Moscow time, adding 2.93 rubles at this point to the level of previous close.

The euro exchange rate reached 77.8 rubles, adding 3.115 rubles.

The currencies updated the highs from Dec. 17, that is, from the moment of peak fall of the ruble.

During the three days of growth, the US dollar added 5.8 rubles at that point, or 9.6 percent, and the euro rose by 6.2 rubles, or 8.7 percent.
