Turkish Prime Minister Ahmet Davutoglu on Monday said Turkey and Serbia would establish a joint high-level council, a move to boost cooperation between the two countries, Anadolu reported.

"We have decided on formation of a high-level cooperation council between Turkey and Serbia," the prime minister said at a Turkey-Serbia Business Forum held in the Serbian capital of Belgrade.

"Today, we are launching such a mechanism in which our all key ministries will play a role," Davutoglu said.

Serbian Prime Minister Aleksandar Vucic added that Serbia would pay a "special" attention to Turkish investors.

On the first of his two-day visit, Davutoglu also attended the opening ceremony of the Turkish Yunus Emre Cultural Center.

On Tuesday, Davutoglu, with Vucic and Bosnian Prime Minister Denis Zvizdic, will visit Serbia's southwestern city of Novi Pazar where there is a considerable Muslim population.
