Azerbaijani karateka Irina Zaretska (68 kg) has advanced to the finals at the First European Games.
In the semi-finals, Zaretska defeated Montenegrin athlete Marina Rakovic, 1:0.
In the finals, the Azerbaijani karateka will compete with Austrian athlete Alisa Buchinger with whom she competed in the second round.
Earlier, in the third round of the competitions on kumite (karate) Zaretska defeated Greek Vasiliki Panetsidou, 1:0.
Before this, in the first round, Zaretska gained a victory over Spanish Cristina Vizcaino (6:1), while in the second round she lost to Alisa Buchinger from Austria (0:4).
