BAKU, Azerbaijan, May 31. Asian Development Bank (ADB) plans to allocate $150 million for educational projects in Azerbaijan in 2022, Country Director in Azerbaijan of the Asian Development Bank (ADB) Candice McDeigan told Trend.

“This year we will be working on the project to support human capital which will be vocational education in Azerbaijan. We will be supporting many of vocational schools for future services production such as information technology,” McDeigan said.

According to her, ADB is one of the co-investors in sustainable development projects in Azerbaijan. ADB provides financing for special infrastructure projects from railway construction to irrigation and education.

Asian Development Bank’s strategic partnership with Azerbaijan for 2019 - 2023 is aimed at boosting private sector development, increasing the performance of the public sector, improving infrastructure, and strengthening human capital.

“ADB’s medium-term program in Azerbaijan focuses on the education, agriculture, public sector management, transport, and energy sectors,” the ADB previously said in a report.
