Huseynli / Azerbaijan appealed to the UN General Assembly regarding environmental pollution and arson committed in the Azerbaijani territories occupied by Armenians, the Vice-President, Regional Director of the UN Ecology Program, Frist Shelingeman, reported to correspondents on 25 May during the conference Frame Convention on Protection of Caspian Sea Environment held in Baku.
According to Shelingeman, the General Assembly has developed a number of proposals in this connection. "We hope that the proposals will help to elucidate the issues and to carry out special work," he said. He noted that the reports on the pollution by Armenians of the Caspian Sea through trans-bordering waters were being collected and a decision would be made.
