Azerbaijan, Ganja / Тrend corr V. Mammadov / During his visit to Azerbaijan, the Turkish President Abdullah Gul will pay a visit to Ganja. The visit will be of a familiarizing nature, the Ganja Executive Power reported.
Details of the President's visit to Ganja, located 365km west of Baku, are being finalised. The President is expected to visit Ganja Agricultural Academy, where in 1918 the first Government of the Azerbaijani Democratic Republic (ADR) sat.
Gul will visit the former homes of a leading family of the ADR - the Sheikhzamanov brothers - and head of the Turkish Islamic Army, Nuru Pasha.
He will also visit the Nizami Mausoleum.
The Turkish President will visit Azerbaijan at the beginning of November.
