Criminal Investigation Begins in Azerbaijan over Illegal Student Admission to Logman Medical School

Azerbaijan, Baku /corr. Trend K.Zarbaliyeva / A criminal investigation has begun in Azerbaijan over the fact of illegal admission of the students to Logman medical school, the Chief of Drug Enforcement Department of the Azerbaijan's Prosecutor General's Office, Kamran Aliyev, reported to Trend.

According to Aliyev, a criminal case has been filed on the base of the appeal by Azerbaijan's Ministry of Education. The Ministry has made a decision imposing a ban on the student admission by the private medical institutions. According to the decision, the State Commission for Student Admission of Azerbaijan did not implement student admission to this higher education school in 2007-2008 academic year.

Aliyev said that according to the initial evidences, Logman medical school admitted 450 students to the first course in the current academic year.

Aliyev stressed that no-one has been detained over the fact. The guilty people will be determined as a result of the investigation.
