Israel, Jerusalem, 9 April / corr Trend R.Abdullayev / Turkey, Azerbaijan and Israel should develop and expand relations and cooperation on trilateral basis, said Murat Mercan, the chairman of the commission on international relations of the Turkish Parliament.
Relations with Azerbaijan are of strategic importance for Turkey, like the relations with Israel. "I think we have goods prospects for the development of trilateral cooperation and we should use this potential of cooperation," the Turkish MP said in an interview with Trend on 9 April.
Mercan said that during the visit to Jerusalem he met with the leaders of the Diaspora organization 'Congress of Israeli Azerbaijanis'. " Turkey is always with Azerbaijan," Mercan said, saying that Azerbaijanis are our brothers worldwide, including Israel.
