Turlmenistan, Ashgabat, Jan. 23 /corr. Trend E.Hasanov / Today the Foreign Ministry of Turkmenistan named "disinformation" the information in the Russian press that the country can ensure the back forces of NATO, stationed in neighbor Afghanistan. "Such publications are open disinformation and takes clearly expressed provocative character," the press release by the Ministry says.

The foreign policy structure of the country focuses attention on the fact that the Russian "Independent newspaper" reported that as though Turkmenistan is prepared "to open training camps in its territory", and also "to place storages and back bases for the supply of the troops" of other states and their military alliances.

The "information" provided in them absolutely does not correspond to the reality and are the rough attempt to bring harms to the high international authority of Turkmenistan, whose neutral status has been officially fixed by the special resolution of the UN General Assembly, Foreign Ministry says.

Turkmenistan borders on Afghanistan and Iran. In the period of the beginning of the military operation by the NATO forces against Taliban, official Ashkhabad categorically refused to provide transport corridor for the cargos of military-strategic designation, excluding only humanitarian cargo.

Military doctrine was recently approved in the country, of which essence remained unchanged in recent years - defense sufficiency, policy of positive neutrality and refusal to participate in the military and political blocs.

Foreign Ministry of Turkmenistan remembers that in accordance with the Constitution of the country, the Law on Permanent Neutrality of Turkmenistan, Concept of Foreign Policy of Turkmenistan as Neutral State, Military Doctrine of Independent, Constantly Neutral Turkmenistan, the Republic does not join the military alliances and blocs and does not place the military bases of foreign states in its territory.

"Based on this, the Turkmen side considers unacceptable the appearance of such information and expresses confidence fact that such insinuations, which is aimed at bringing harms to the positive development of the relations of Turkmenistan with other states, will be stopped with the use of all legal measures," the press release says.
