Iranian, Uzbek foreign ministries hold consultations

A regular round of consultations was held between the Uzbek-Iranian foreign ministries in Tehran, the Uzbek Foreign Ministry said on March 16. The consultations were held at the level of deputy foreign ministers.
"Opinions were exchanged on bilateral cooperation and urgent international and regional issues were also discussed," the Uzbek ministry said. The sides also discussed regional security, including the Afghan crisis, combating terrorism, extremism and narcotics trafficking.
Special attention was paid to transport and communications cooperation.
