Georgia has all means to struggle swine flu virus: minister

Georgia, Tbilisi, July 14 / Trend , N.Kirtzkhalia/

Georgian Health Minister Alexander Kvitashvili recommends journalists not spread reports by the Alia newspaper on possible spread of swine in Georgia.

Georgia daily receives reports from the World Health Organization about the latest developments of the world, he said before the governmental meeting. "Recently, it has been announced that Georgian has entered a list of the high-risk countries," the minister said and explained than countries are divided into two groups, the countries where the virus has already spread or their neighbor countries and the countries with a high risk.

The minister said several countries are working over a vaccine, but it is still unknown when it will be prepared, because the virus is mutating. "We are standing in turn for vaccination, but we have all means to combat the virus in the case of epidemic," Kvitashvili said.
