The Aktau regional meeting of the leaders of Azerbaijan, Kazakhstan, Russia and Turkmenistan, is the evidence to the neighboring countries' efforts to make the traditional partnership a constructive one, the state news service Turkmen dovlet khabarlari (TDK) wrote on Sept.11.

On Sept.11, Turkmen President Gurbangulu Berdimuhammedov will arrive in Aktau, where he will attend the informal summit, meeting "without ties", upon the invitation of his Kazakh counterpart, Nursultan Nazarbayev.

"The summit is one more irrefutable evidence of mutual effort and determination of the neighboring countries to raise the traditional partnership to a qualitatively new level, give it a businesslike and constructive character, taking into account the positive experience of cooperation, the achievement of national economies and, of course, the existing huge economic and resource potential," the TDK reported.

The parties plan to discuss prospects for further cooperation built, "on an equitable and mutually respectful basis, as well as to exchange views on topical issues of mutual interest," the Turkmen media said.

The discussions on these issues during the meeting "without ties", which will serve as "strengthening of trust and understanding between the brotherly peoples, would be yet another eloquent testimony to the consistent realization of Turkmen foreign policy, aimed at establishing wide international cooperation for universal prosperity and sustainable development", the TDK said.

Confessing the policy of openness and constructive dialogue with all the interested partners, Turkmenistan pays special attention to strengthening relations with its closest neighbors, in cooperation with which realizes a number of important projects in various fields.

The economy, trade, transport, communication and humanitarian spheres, in which recently accumulated considerable experience of successful joint work, are the priority spheres for cooperation. In this sense, a position of Turkmen leader, being a founder of many important initiatives, is being recognized and supported in the international arena," the newspaper "Neutral Turkmenistan" wrote on Sept.11.

The Caspian countries are linked together with a number of major joint projects, particularly, the construction of the Iran-Turkmenistan-Kazakhstan railway and discussions of the Turkmenistan-Kazakhstan-Russia (Caspian littoral) and Turkmenistan-Azerbaijan-Turkey-Europe (Trans-Caspian, which can be considered as part of the Nabucco), Trend reported earlier.
