Azerbaijani Foreign Minister Elmar Mammadyarov received Senior Advisor to the U.S. Special Envoy for Eurasian Energy Daniel Stein, the press service of the Foreign Ministry of Azerbaijan said on Nov. 18.
Highlighting the extensive ties between Azerbaijan and the United States, Stein also welcomed the long-term successful cooperation between U.S. and Azerbaijan in the energy sector.
The guest also said that he supports the priority for U.S. foreign policy in ensuring global energy security and diversity of his country in the issue of delivering energy resources to the world markets.
In his turn, highly assessing the cooperation between the two countries in energy and noting the position of Azerbaijan in an important geographic space, Mammadyarov said that Azerbaijan is an exporter of energy resources, and has transit facilities to transport them to world markets.
During the meeting, the sides exchanged views on various questions of mutual interest.
