Last year the number of crimes against personality in military units of Azerbaijan increased, Republic Military Prosecutor Khanlar Veliyev said to a meeting on the results of last year at the Republic Military Prosecutor's Office.
Non-military crimes and crimes against the personality increased by 13.5 percent in the military formations, the press service of the Republic Military Prosecutor's Office told Trend .
Judicial and investigative practices are compiled in order to prevent such crimes. Measures are being taken to eliminate the causes and conditions contributing to committing these crimes.
During this period, the crimes in violation of the rules of command decreased by 11.4 percent, the facts of evasion from military service - 19.9 percent, desertion - 63.1 percent, said Veliyev.
