The representation of Tatarstan will be opened in Ashgabat, which is tasked to be headed by Kamil Galiev.
Decree on the establishment of representation has been signed within the cooperation agreement signed between Tatarstan and Turkmenistan in September 2009, says the letter by the leadership of Tatarstan to Turkmenistan's president Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov.
"Creating the representation is one more evidence of new quality of our relationship, made possible thanks to your individual attention towards our republic," said in message.
Over recent years, Tatarstan - Turkmenistan cooperation in the framework of Russian - Turkmenistan partnership is characterized by positive dynamics, the letter says. Trade - economic and cultural - scientific relations are expanding.
"... Let me express hope for further mutual understanding and unity of our efforts in preserving historical and cultural ties of our peoples," said the mesaage.
