An Azerbaijani parliamentary delegation headed by Parliamentary Speaker Ogtay Asadov will visit Iran Feb.20-22, the Parliament reported.
During the visit, Asadov will visit the Iranian Parliament and discuss with his Iranian counterpart Ali Larijani prospects of developing inter-parliamentary ties and cooperation in the field of lawmaking.
The Azerbaijani delegation is also expected to meet with Iranian President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad, Iranian Foreign Minister Manouchehr Mottaki and Iran's Supreme National Security Council (SNSC) Secretary Saeed Jalili.
The meetings will discuss issues of deepening relations between the two countries and developing economic, cultural and humanitarian ties.
The Azerbaijani representatives will visit Tabriz, meet with East Azerbaijan Province Governor Ahmad Alirza Beygi and Ayatollah Movsun Mujtekid Shabistari.
The delegation comprises of Committee Chairmen Eldar Ibrahimov, Shamsaddin Hajiyev, Hadi Rajabli; MPs Ali Ahmadov, Asef Hajiyev, Parliamentary Apparatus head Safa Mirzoyev and other officials.
