Parliamentary Defense Committee Chairman: Level of NATO’s involvement in Georgia's internal processes to increase

Georgia, Tbilisi, June 10 / Trend, N. Kirtskhalia /

Chairman of the Georgian Parliament's Committee on Defence and Security Givi Targamadze believes that the level of involvement of NATO in the internal processes of Georgia will increase.

The basis for this statement is Secretary General of NATO, Anders Fogh Rasmussen's words in connection with the fact that "elections in Georgia were a kind of test, and this country has passed the test well."

"By this he clearly pointed out that successful elections have a positive influence and sympathies to Georgia's address increased. Rasmussen's last statement about NATO's open door for Georgia gives grounds for optimism. But, of course, this optimism is not the reason for that some decisions to be taken immediately ", Targamadze said.
