The international community is trying to reach a solution to Georgian-Russian problem through dialogue, French ambassador to Georgia Eric Fournier told reporters.
He also commented on a compromise statement by Russian foreign minister Sergei Lavrov about the possibility of the Georgian-Russian cooperation, and noted that U.S. Secretary of State's visit and the coming visit of French foreign minister will serve the beginning of a dialogue between Georgia and Russia.
"Clinton's visit and the coming visit of Bernard Kouchner [July 14] testify that these countries are willing to contribute to the initiation of a dialogue between the parties. We wish that a dialogue to take place between Georgia and Russia, and problems to solved exactly in this way," said Fournier.
