The International Festival of pop music, song and dance "Avaza-2010" will be held at the Turkmen coast of the Caspian Sea - in the national tourist zone of Turkmenistan "Avaza" August 18-23, Turkmen Ambassador to Azerbaijan Annamamed Mammadov told Trend.
He said that creative people around the world and the region, including Azerbaijan were invited to Turkmenistan to participate in international festival.
A holiday of music and dance was initiated by President Gurbanguly Berdimuhammedov. It designed to reveal new talent, as well as facilitate the establishment of friendly and creative contacts between performers of world peoples' works, the ambassador said.
"National tourist zone of Turkmenistan Avaza becomes the center of activities of international and regional level.
Several cultural forums were successfully conducted in the national tourist area, Mammadov said.
"Avaza" was also the venue for the talks of the leaders of the region. For example, it hosted a trilateral meeting between the presidents of Turkmenistan, Azerbaijan and Turkey in 2008. The talks have been recently held between Turkmen President Gurbanguly Berdimuhammedov and President of the Republic of Tatarstan Rustam Minnikhanov.
