Azerbaijan President Ilham Aliyev voiced his condolences to Russian President Dmitry Medvedev over a prominent statesman Viktor Chernomyrdin's death, AzerTAj state news agency reports.
"I am deeply sad to learn about a prominent statesman, Russian social and political figure Viktor Chernomyrdin's death. Please, accept my most sincere condolences to you, family and friends of Viktor Chernomyrdin," the message of condolence says.
