The Azerbaijani consulate in Adjara hosted a ceremony on raising the national flag of Azerbaijan.
The ceremony was attended by Chairman of Adjara Autonomous Republic Levan Varshalamidze, Minister of Finance and Economy Vaja Bolkvadze, Mayor of Batumi city Robert Chkhaidze, Azerbaijani MP, SOCAR President Rovnag Abdullayev, who is on a short visit to Batumi, the delegation headed by him and the representatives of local media outlets.
The Consul General Huseyin Najafov informed the guests about the repair work, recently conducted in the building and spoke about the implementation of some reconstruction works in accordance with the requirements of the consulate.
The ceremony of raising the national flag of Azerbaijan was greeted with applause. Officials with the confidence noted that the national flag of Azerbaijan, fluttering on the building of the Consulate General of Azerbaijan to Batumi, is a pride and that another page opened the friendly relations between the two nations.
