Chairman of Azerbaijani opposition party's supreme assembly resigns (PHOTO)

Chairman of the Supreme Assembly of the opposition Unified Azerbaijan Popular Front Party Mikail Rahimov resigned from his post and left the party. The decision was taken at the session of the Supreme Assembly of the party, held on Saturday.
In connection with Rahimov's election as a member to the Central Election Commission of Azerbaijan, according to the Electoral Code of the country, he resigned from his post as chairman of the Supreme Assembly of the party and left its ranks.
During the discussions, a member of the party's board Vagif Abyshev was nominated for chairman of the Supreme Assembly of the party, who was unanimously supported by members of the Supreme Assembly.
Also, according to the presentation of the chairman, were elected secretaries on the various spheres. Secretary for humanitarian affairs was elected Dunyamali Imamaliyev, secretary for ideology and propaganda - Telman Siyabov, secretary of socio-political issues - Niyamaddin Ordukhanov. Vice chairman of the Supreme Assembly was elected Faig Ismayilov.
