Azerbaijani opposition parties record cardinal differences in views

Azerbaijan, Baku, Sept. 1 / Trend T.Hajiyev /

There are cardinal differences in views among the Popular Front Party of Azerbaijan (PFPA) and the Musavat party and other opposition parties, Citizens and Development Party (CDP) Chairman Ali Aliyev told Trend.

He made the comment while discussing the meeting between six opposition party leaders on Wednesday.

Aliyev said Chairman of the Classical Popular Front Party (CPFPA) Mirmahmud Miralioglu informed the meeting about his talks with the chairmen of PFPA and Musavat party.

Miralioglu spoke about these parties' views over the unification of the opposition. Aliyev said our positions differ so much with the positions of the PFPA and Musavat Party that it will require long time to eliminate the differences.

He said they have common positions, but their number is too few.

Although Aliyev did not speak about the positions of the PFPA and Musavat Party about the opposition's unification, he said the CDP will never enter the People's Assembly.

"The People's Assembly is the structure jointly created by the PFPA and Musavat party. Successes, as well as fails, of this structure belong to these parties," he said.
