Iranian diplomats leave UK - agency
Azerbaijan, Baku, Dec. 2 / Trend /
Iranian diplomats of the country's embassy in London left the United Kingdom on Friday, IRNA agency reported.
Foreign Secretary William Hague Wednesday ordered the diplomats to leave Britain within 48 hours, following the closure of Britain's embassy in Tehran, which was stormed and ransacked by protesters Tuesday.
'This does not amount to the severing of diplomatic relations in their entirety. It is action that reduces our relations with Iran to the lowest level consistent with the maintenance of diplomatic relations,' said Hague.
