On Monday, Deputy Foreign Minister of Russia Grigory Karasin held a meeting with the Chairman of the State Enterprise for the Caspian Sea under the Turkmen President Murat Atajanov, the press service of the Russian Foreign Ministry reported.

The sides discussed issues of bilateral cooperation in the Caspian area. Details of implementing the decisions of the Third Caspian Summit in Baku in 2010, as well as the legal status of the Caspian Sea were discussed.

Consultations on Caspian issues Atajanov held with a special representative of the President of Russia on the delimitation and demarcation of the state border with the neighboring countries-participants of the CIS, Ambassador-at-Large of the Russian Foreign Minister Igor Bratchikov.
