Azerbaijani Ambassador to Australia, Rovshan Jamshidov, presented his credentials to the Governor-General of Australia Quentin Bryce, the Azerbaijan Embassy to Australia reported on Thursday.
During the meeting, the Governor-General congratulated the Azerbaijani Ambassador on his appointment and wished him success in his work.
Quentin Bryce highly appreciated Azerbaijan's initiative to open an embassy in Australia for the development of bilateral relations.
The perspectives of cooperation between the two countries in such areas as energy, agriculture and other areas of the economy were discussed at the meeting.
