Second OSCE interim report on presidential elections in Azerbaijan released

The OSCE Office for Democratic Institutions and Human Rights (ODIHR) released second interim report on presidential elections in Azerbaijan, ODIHR official website reported on Wednesday.

The report reflected the pre-election situation in the country, issues related to the election campaign of the presidential candidates, the preparatory work carried out at the polling stations and district election commissions, etc.

The document stated that the Central Election Commission registered 10 candidates. Weekly, public television offers six hours of free time to presidential candidates.

The report also indicated that in accordance with the law, the CEC printed three per cent more ballots than the number of voters.

Presidential elections in Azerbaijan will be held on October 9.
