Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev has signed today an order on the establishment of the Closed Joint-Stock Company "Azerbaijan State Caspian Shipping Company".
According to the order, to continue institutional reforms in the economy, increasing the efficiency of local and international transport in the field of maritime shipping, strengthening the competitiveness of the transit potential of the country, on the basis of the Azerbaijan Caspian Shipping Company and the Caspian Sea Oil Fleet, a closed joint-stock company "The Azerbaijan State Caspian Shipping Company" under the State Oil Company of Azerbaijan Republic has been established.
The order has also referred to the transfer of all property of the liquidated Azerbaijan Caspian Shipping Company and the Caspian Sea Oil Fleet under the State Oil Company to the new organization.
The Cabinet of Ministers of Azerbaijan is in charge to prepare and submit to the President of Azerbaijan for one month the proposals on the draft regulations of the CJSC "Azerbaijan State Caspian Shipping Company", its structure and the number of employees; within two months submit to the President of Azerbaijan proposals to reconcile these orders with the acts of the President, to provide within three months of harmonization of regulatory legal acts of the Cabinet of Ministers with these orders and inform the President of Azerbaijan; to control the alignment of regulatory legal acts of central executive bodies with these orders and to inform the President of Azerbaijan for the period of five months.
The Cabinet of Ministers also mandated to address issues arising from this order.
Order comes into force from the date of signing.
Also, the President of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev has signed today an order on appointment of Rauf Veliyev as a Chairman of the CJSC "Azerbaijan State Caspian Shipping Company".
According to the order, Rauf Veliyev is appointed as a Chairman of the CJSC "Azerbaijan State Caspian Shipping Company".
