Scheduling a rally for March 10, the National Council violates the requirements of Azerbaijan's Electoral Code, MP Gudrat Hasanguliyev said at a meeting of parliament in Baku March 6.
He added that according to the Electoral Code, campaigns may be launched 20 days before the election.
"However, the so-called National Council wants to hold a rally on March 10,” he said. “The violation of the law is unacceptable."
Hasanguliyev also said campaigns may be held after March 19.
The presidential election will be held on April 11.
