A delegation of employees of the Prosecutor General’s Office and the Foreign Ministry, headed by the First Assistant Prosecutor General, Rustam Usubov, is to Simferopol, the Prosecutor General’s Office told Trend.
Following the detention of the chairman of the Azerbaijan Democratic Party, the ex-Speaker, Rasul Guliyev, in Simferopol through Interpol, the Prosecutor General’s Office of Azerbaijan submitted to petition to the Prosecutor General’s Office of Ukraine in accordance with requirements of the European Convention on Extradition dated 13 December 1957. The petition notes that Guliyev must be extradited to the Azerbaijani law-enforcement bodies for being made answerable.
The delegation arrived in Ukraine on Tuesday evening.
