“Over 300 foreign prisoners serve their term at reformatories of the Central Department on Execution of Court Sentences (CDECS) under the Justice Ministry,” Musa Humbatov, the chief of the CDECS headquarters, told Trend.
According to Humbatov, 100 prisonder are the Iranian citizens. “We plan their extradition within the legal act concluded between Azerbaijan and Iran. 50 prisoners will be extradited tille late 2005,” Humbatov added.
He also noted that the rest are citizens of Russia, Ukraine, Turkey and Kazakhstan, and they held negotiation in this regard as well.
