President of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev signed a decree on 16 December on establishing the Ministry of Defense Industry of the Azerbaijan Republic, Trend reports.
Under the decree, the State Committee on special machine-building and conversion is liquidated and the Ministry is being established based on it.
In this regard, the Cabinet of Ministers has been commissioned to develop and submit to the president during one month the draft Charter of the Ministry, its structure, cost estimate and the staff list.
The decree is effective from the moment of its signing.
