Military Prosecutor Office holds a meeting in large

The Military Prosecutor Office held a meeting in large with participation of employees of the central body and the regional military prosecutor offices on Tuesday, the press service of the Military Prosector Office told Trend.

The meeting discussed the work on struggle with crime, strengthening of legality and defense of human rights and freedoms done by the military prosecutor office bodies in 2005 and their fothcoming tasks.

In his remarks, Military Prosecutor Khanlar Valiyev stated that in 2005 military expenses grew by 76% as compared 2004. In 2006 the figure grew by 100% and comprised $600m. In 2005 the number of the registered crimes was 9.7% more as compared 2004. As a result of the activities of the Defense Ministry and other force bodies the number of the crimes against military service considerably dropped, 9 willful murders were revealed, the Military Prosecutor said.

He also stated that 72 are wanted through Interpol.
