The coordinating board of the New Policy election block will determine its candidates balloting in the by-elections, scheduled for 13 May 2006, at the next meeting in late February, Eldar Namazov, the President of the Public Forum for Azerbaijan, also a co-constitutor of the block, told Trend.
He noted that the members of the coordinating board achived initial agreement. We have determined who and where will ballot from, but it must be done in the official level, Namazov stressed. He underlined that the meeting of the coordinating board would also discuss other issues.
As to his participation in the by-elections, Namazov said his position was known. I dont think of the participation in the by-elections, he stressed. In reply to the question on his steps in case of requiring for his participation by coordinating board, Namazov answered that it was expected, but it did not worth to outstrip events.
As to the participation of Adnan Novruzov, the representative of the Azerbaijan National Independence Party (ANIPs branch led by Etibar Mammadov), and Ayaz Rustamov, the acting chairman of ANIP, in the last meeting of coordinating board, Namazov stressed that it showed which branches of ANIP was supported by the block.
