Consumer market

In December 2005 a rise of the retail goods turnover got restored amid continuing rise of the community services.

According to the State Statistics Committee in January to December the amount of retail goods turnover comprised 4,548,2m manats, or 13.2% up as compared to last year. The commercial services delivered to population comprised 960.7bn manats, or 26.1% up as compared to last year.

Prices

In December inflation ratio rose inconsiderably All major groups of goods played the key role in cut of inflation ratio. The consumer prices grew 5.4%, which is 4.5% less than November 2005.

Prices of foodstuff rose 3.9%. Р РѕСЃС' цен РІ С'ечение РіРѕРґР° РїРѕ сравнению СЃ анаР"огичным периодом 2004 РіРѕРґР° СЃРѕСЃС'авиР" 10,9%. Non-foodstuff prices grew inconsiderably 0.4%, or 5.4% more than previous year.

Fundamental factor defining the dynamic of consumer prices remains to be the state social policy, which is characterized by a rise in social expenses of the public budget, which comprises 53% of the common budget expenses.

Wholesale prices in industry grew18.6% as compared 2004 and comprised 19.4%. Agriculture goods producers increased the prices 12.2% as compared to 2004, while the figure dropped 2.4% in December against November of the same year.

Prices in oil and gas production rose 26.7%. Wholesale prices in oil and gas production grew 2.3%, refinery of chemical products 14.1%, metallurgy 10.6%, while in energy sector the prices remained unchanged and comprised 99.9%.
