7 parties entering Consultative Council like to merge

Some parties entering the Consultative Council accepting the leaders of President Ilham Aliyev can be united within a party, Mammad Alizade, the chairman of the alliance, and also the chairman of the World of Democratic Azerbaijan Party, told Trend.

He said that the proposal was initiated by the chairman of the Party of Free Republicans, Kamil Seyidov. Alizade said that a proposal was discussed and approved among chairmen of 6-7 parties entering the Consultative Council. Some issues will be resolved upon injecting changes to the law on Political Parties. The chairman of the Consultative Council noted that this organization was the demand of the times.

Noting his support to expel of Ana Vatan party from the alliance Alizade stated that this party has wider experience as compared to other members of the alliance, own history, principles and ideology. There is necessity for merger of parties which entered the political arena only few years ago. As to the name of the party the politician said the consultations in this respect were underway.
