Fifty-three people were dismissed from the penitentiary system, Musa Humbatov, the head of the Headquarters of the Central Department for execution of Sentences of the Justice Ministry, told Trend.
After the check-ups it was decided that the further functioning of 16 people in the justice system cannot be allowed. The violations mainly included misappropriation of food and medicine allocated for prisoners. At the resolution of the Ministry these people were excluded from the justice system. Criminal institutions were filed on 9 people by the Investigation Department on Serious Crimes. Upon completion of the investigation the materials were given to the court.
