The famous Azerbaijani social leader, Kamran Huseynov, 93 years old, passed away on April 20, 2006, Trend reports.
Starting his work in the oil sector, Huseynov occupied a number of responsible state and party positions ever since. In 1968-80th he occupied position of the vice chairman of the Ministers Council of the
Soviet Azerbaijan and from 1980 to 1993 he was a chairman of the Trade Chamber.
He was rewarded several times for responsible services with a number of medals and decorations, including the highest award of the Azerbaijan republic Glory decoration.
Funeral ceremony is due to take place on April 21 from 13:00 to 15:00 at the cultural center named after Shahriyar in Baku city.
The statement on his death has been signed by the head of the state, Ilham Aliyev, PM, Arthur Rasi-zadeh, parliament` s speaker, Oktay Shiraliyev and the head of the presidential apparatus, Ramiz Mehtiyev.
