Gov't will continue efforts on democratic conduct of re-run elections till the end senior state officer

The Azerbaijan governments will is to achieve democratic, transparent and fair conduct of re-run parliamentary elections in 10 constituencies. The check up of protocols, tabulation of votes and other processes were carried under definite control, Ali Hassanov, the head of the Public-Political Department of the Presidents Apparat, told journalists.

The state official noted that any officer, or high ranking official interfering into the election process and endeavors non-objective conduct of elections will be punished in compliance with

the presidential decree.

Touching upon the events to be held in Baku jointly with the representatives of the CE Venice Commission, Hassanov said that the development ongoing in Europe, as well as legal and political issue concern Azerbaijan as a CE member. Long-term cooperation between Azerbaijan and the CE successfully continues and different meetings and roundtables are held with the institutes of this organization. It is one of the workshops of this type, which will focus on exchange of opinions on issues of mutual interests. He did not exclude possible adoption of a document in the end of the event.
