Russian military technique will not be transported from Georgia by sea, Trend reports quoting General Vladimir Isakov, head of rear services of Military Forces of the Russian Federation and deputy Minister of Defense of the RF.

"Transportation of military technique by sea became unnecessary after conclusion of transit agreement with Azerbaijan", - Isakov said, adding that this simplifies forces withdrawal and reduces expenses.

"Now we dont have to transport technique by sea from Ahalkalaki to Batumi and to Novorossiysk and then by railroad to the destination points, - Isakov stressed. All withdrawn vehicles will go to these points by railroad via Azerbaijan".

Isakov also informed journalists that, if necessary, rear services and Black Sea navy are ready to transport vehicles by sea, RIA-Novosti reports.
