The attention of PACE co-rapporteurs for Azerbaijan is drawn to so-called political prisoners issue, which in fact had been solved long ago, Trend reports quoting MP Gultekin Hajiyeva, deputy chairman of Azeri delegation to PACE, commenting on
the visit of Andreas Gross and Andres Herckel, co-rapporteurs for Azerbaijan, to Baku on May 25.
The co-rapporteurs are arriving in Azerbaijan to get acquainted to the post-election situation in the republic.
Hajiyeva said also there will be no tension about Azerbaijan at PACE summer session. В"The repeat elections were held transparently and fairly. Co-rapporteurs always seek for some critical issues in Azerbaijan thats why they are mostly concentrated on political prisoners issueВ".
MP said also the co-rapporteurs are trying to pass mediocre criminals off as political prisoners regardless of issued verdict.
