Baku is interested in development of cooperation in cultural sphere with Russian regions  Azeri Minister of Culture

The development of the cooperation in the sphere of culture was discussed on July 5 at the meeting between the minister of culture and tourism of Azerbaijan Abulfaz Garayev and the delegation of Chelyabinski region of Russian Federation, Trend reports.

Garayev expressed the interest of official Baku in development of the relations with the regions of Russian Federation, noting after completion of Azerbaijani year in Russia it is planned to hold Cultural Days of Azerbaijan in Novosbriski, Samara and Chelyabnski regions of Russia.

We are planning to hold Days of culture in 2007, told minister, mentioning the need of flow of the new Russian language literature from Chelyabnski region. We would be grateful to you for 50-60 new literature, Garayev stressed, Azerbaijan will be presented at the International Festival of Books scheduled for September of this year in Moscow.

Besides, according to Garayev, preparation is being held for the tour to the Chelyabinsk Russian dramatic theatre named after Samad Vurgun. According to minister, official Baku pursues the policy to develop the cultural relations with the regions of Russia.

Besides, it was mentioned the necessity of participation of Azerbaijani and Russian ensembles and performers in Musical competition named after Bul-Bul in Baku and International competition named after Klink in Chelyabnski.

The vise-governor of Chalyabinski region Valentine Buravlev and minister of culture of the region Valentine Makarov participated at the meeting.
