The Ministry of Culture and Tourism of Azerbaijan I preparing to the forthcoming conference of tourism ministers of member-countries of Organization of Islamic Conference (OIC) to take place September 9 to 12 in Baku, chief of overseas tourism with the Ministry Elchin Gafarli told Trend in an exclusive interview.
Gafarli said the drafts of the conference agenda and documents to be signed at it are currently being worked out. According to the preliminary program, on September 9-10 high officials and experts of the countries within organizations are gathering in Baku to agree on the agenda and documents drafts. The ministers meeting itself is held September 11 to 12.
The Ministry of Culture and Tourism of Azerbaijan has already delivered invitations to al member-countries of organization, and already 25 countries confirmed their participation in the conference. Francesco Frangialli, secretary general with the World Tourism Organization, is expected at the conference alongside the number of official representatives of 7 institutions with OIC, observer countries and international organizations.
The main attention at the conference will be drawn to development of tourism cooperation within organization, said Gafarli. Member-countries are suggested to draw their designs on tourism development and introduce tourism opportunities of their countries, he added.
At the conference two documents will be signed: Resolution of Baku Conference and a declaration. The Resolution is the basic document and Declaration will be approved a the incentive of Azerbaijan, official said.
