Azerbaijani president Ilham Aliyev signed a decree to ensure increase of efficiency of the activities of the joint stock-companies Baku Electric Network and Sumgayit Electric Network, Trend reports.
The Ministry of Economic Development is committed to take necessary measures to ensure the activities of the joint stock companies, to improve with the electricity supply to consumers in the areas where they served., as well as increase of energy consumption charges. The Ministry of Economic Development is committed to study the new rules and ensure the state registration, appoint the chairs and members of the boards of managers and observers, ensure the preservation and management of shares owned by the state in the statutory capital of the companies.
The Cabinet of Ministers is committed jointly with the Ministry of Economic Development and the Ministry of Industry and Energy to present in a month to the President proposals on regulation of mutual activities of the Baku Electric Network and Sumgayit Electric Network with Azerenerji.
