Baku City Executive Power did not Permit Activists of National Liberation Movement to Hold Demonstrations outside Baku U.N. Office

The Executive Power of Baku City did not permit the Union of the Activists of the National Liberation Movement to hold a demonstration outside the Baku U.N. Office on October 6, Tahmasib Novruzov, Chairman of the High Executive Council told Trend.

The decision to conduct a demonstration outside the Baku U.N. Office was made on 3 October at the meeting of the Union of the Activists of the National Liberation Movement. The reason for the demonstration was to highlight the events occurring in South Azerbaijan.

The creation of the Union of activists of the National Liberation Movement emerged in September 2005. A group of activists in support of the independence of Azerbaijan came together in the office of the Chairman of Popular Movement Party Nasir Agayev and created the Initiator Group. The Charter of the Movements was adopted in the first constituent assembly on 8 January 2006.
